Over and over one of my favorite places in DC. The recent menu change just confirmed this. Had a quick bite with a colleague and it was incredible! The Commodore checks every box: chill vibe, great service, insane back bar (dozens of spirits you won’t find anywhere else), and sneaky good food. Lots of creative, healthy additions to the menu. We had the burrata salad and it was perfection. And don’t miss the wine here, either! This is a restaurant for everyone.

Fantastic neighborhood bar. Excellent service & vibe. Wanted to try the food but my fridge was too full. Will be back very soon. Great place to chat up the seat next to you. Ample seating outdoors on picnic benches. Trivia night is packed so get there early.

I had the best experience, I’m glad I stopped by after work. Even though it was really busy, everyone took the time to make sure I had what I needed. The cocktails were superb, I had the Paloma and the Commodore Old Fashioned. The food - even though it’s bar food - is absolutely delicious. I recommend their weekly specials or their burgers. Every bartender and server was great too! Whenever I’m back in town I’m going to stop by here!!!

Great spot to drop in for a drink. Super friendly service and very reasonable prices. Nothing super fancy but great vibes overall. Will definitely come back. There’s indoor and outdoor seating as well.

Stopped in on a whim and was delighted by the drink selection. The totchos were dank, loved the cold brew tini. Alexa was as so sweet and made a damn good margarita, and equally good conversation, treating us like old friends.

GO! If you’re thinking maybe we’ll find a few spots, no - nothing compares to this place. The atmosphere? wonderful. Drinks? Great and decently priced. Food? PERFECTION — we’re in nc and this is one of our 2 spots we always eat at no questions asked. Always get the anchor (the pretzel) and the cheesesteak they do I can’t ever get a photo of it full because I eat the second it’s down. 10/10 dc dining

Everything was so good. The massive soft pretzel with the three sauces was delicious. The chicken tenders were well breaded and juicy as were the wings. All of the sauces were insanely good! My old fashioned was one of the best I've had.

Great neighborhood pub with tasty bar food and wide drink selections. Our favorite is the squirrel kicker burger. The caramelized onion brings a lovely aroma and a hint of sweetness, which cut down the heaviness of the meat and cheese. Highly recommend! For sides, my go-tos are tots which are super crispy and well seasoned. Their fried chicken with 3 sides is great too and you get to sample a variety of side dishes. Service is fast and friendly. If you’re in the area and craving for pub food, it’s worth stopping by.

Had a fantastic time here! The $6 happy hour drinks were really good and a great deal. The Nashville hot fried chicken was perhaps the best I've ever had - paired with the creamy, super umami cheesy mac and cheese and their sriracha blue cheese sauce, it was awesome. We sat outside and the atmosphere is really nice out there, with lovely trees. Highly recommend!

Surprisingly quick service delivered generously poured drinks and a delicious burger, chicken sandwich and tots while being overrun with large groups of hungry partiers such as my own at the height of the 2026 Pride block party! Fun interior decor too. Would love to go back and try more of their regular offerings based on this experience.
